Ingredients:
-Wet Ingredients:
-Fresh sockeye salmon fillets (3 lbs).
-H2O (4 c.)
-Tamarind paste
-Fish sauce (Filipino pastis)
-White wine vinegar
-Canola oil
-Fresh Ingredients:
-green onions
-leeks
-green papaya
-chayote
-onion
-gogi berry (just ask for flash frozen iba fruit berries, available thru your Filipino store)
-garlic
-fresh parsley herbs
-bay leaf
-Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Wash the fish thoroughly, then salt and proceed to fry in a pan till golden brown with the onions and garlic.
Add into a sauce pan the fluids including the H2O.
Add in the veggies, the herbs and spices and simmer over medium heat for 30-45 minutes until the former are cooked.
