Banana Split Dessert Smoothie or Parfait:


Layered Ingredients or Components:

  1. Cool Whip(R) Top with a red marascchino cherry.

  2. Banana Smashed : - 1 banana; - 2 tblsp lime juice; - 1/2 c milk; - 2 tblsp white granulated sugar

  3. Creamery from Milk : - 1/4 c Vanilla Oikos(R) Yogurt; 1/4 c Cream Cheese (plain); 3 tblsp Cottage Cheese; liberally spread Honey on the mixture to sweeten and beat well together to mix thoroughly

  4. Strawberry Fruit Syrup : - 1 doz. strawberries; - 1/4 c white sugar; - 1/2 c H2O; - 2 tblsp lemon juice

  5. Creme de Menthe Syrup : - 1/2 c green liquer (all natural please, no artificial ingredients); - 2 tblsp white sugar; - 1/4 c H2O

  6. Walnuts (crushed to bits) : - 1/8 c walnuts (unsalted)

  7. Chocolate Syrup : - 1/4 c Betty Crocker(R) chocolate icing; - 1/4 c milk; - 2 tblsp white sugar


Assembly in Parfait Glass:

- Prepare the syrups by mixing in and simmering gently over MED heat until it slightly thickens.

- Put the Creamery layers twice and in between the banana layers until you reach the top.

- Layer the nuts with on each of 4 succeeding layers and add alternately chocolate syrup on top and a double layer of red strawberry fruit syrup and green creme de menthe syrup.

- Top finally in a swirl cool whipped topping with a red marascchino cherry as garnish with some nuts sprinkled.

Check for doneness with cooking time: e. g. for roasts, use a roasting thermometer, a toothpick for breads, puddings and cakes; note the need to pre-coat the sheet pans for baking with shortening/oil. For pasta and vegetables follow carefully instructions to be al dente adding enough water, gentle boiling with salt added and tasting regularly the bite, followed by draining and washing several times.
